A good number of you have expressed wanting to learn more about the ins and outs of what happens at Ayu, so we are launching a series of classes we're dubbing Ayu Schoolhouse.

With subject matter ranging from Leadership to the Science of Bread to the Art of Hospitality, the goal of Ayu Schoolhouse is to help you grow both professionally and personally in areas that are relevant and interesting to you. Topics could also include non-bakery things like How to Make a Budget or even How to Buy a House.
In addition to speaking about our own experiences, we'll invite guest speakers to come to the bakery and share their knowledge.
Classes are for Ayu staff and are in addition to your normal work. Participation is 100% optional, but to sweeten the deal, staff who attend will be paid $12/hr—and since you'll be on the clock, we expect active attention and participation . We'll also have snacks and refreshments at every session.
